Pharisee Paul's Mysterious Verses
It is no great surprise that the Scriptures have very positive things to say about the Truth, and fairly negative things to say about falsehood, lies, deceit, etc. Yet what does this have to do with “St. Paul, the Apostle” of Christianity; aka Saul of Tarsus, or Paul the pharisee?

jesuswordsonly.com published an article on January 17th of 2011, "Guile in Paul". This article outlines & examines Paul's repeated admissions of dishonesty.(1)

2 Corinthians 12:16
But be it so, I did not burden you, nevertheless, being crafty, I caught you with GUILE.

Guile? Referring to Strong’s Concordance, it turns out the actual Greek word used was from G1388- dolos, which is generally translated as guile or deceit. Guile & deceit don’t sound very saintly, do they?
According to the Merriam Webster Online dictionary, guile is defined as “the use of clever & usually dishonest methods to achieve something.” Merriam Webster’s Online dictionary went on to give a good example to illustrate the use of “guile” ….

“a person so full of guile he can’t even be trusted to give you the correct time of day!”
Could such a statement be used to describe the “Apostle Paul”?
In 2 Co 12:16, Paul was admitting to the use of dishonest means to “catch” the Corinthians. Does “Saint Paul" hint at this sort of approach in other verses?

Romans 3:7
For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my LIE unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?

The Greek word used for lie there was from Strong’s G5582-pseusma, meaning a falsehood or lie.
The purpose of this section of the website is to try to ascertain exactly were the LIE(s)or dishonesty that Paul the pharisee was referring to. In trying to determine the answer to this question, it is also important to keep in mind Deuteronomy 19:15, which states that at the mouth of two or three witnesses shall the matter be established. If Paul the pharisee is the sole source of a claim or assertion, this site will attempt to show that such claims or statements are not at all reliable.

Please search the Scriptures, & consider the following questions to see if you can ascertain what were the “LIE”(s) or dishonesty that Paul the pharisee openly admitted to in the verses above.
