The CREATOR'S NAME IS
YHWH
The Hebrew Scriptures are clear in revealing that the Heavens, the Earth, everything in them, & all living creatures that existed at the very beginning were created by YHWH.
Genesis 2:4
These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that YHWH Elohim made the earth and the heavens,
Exodus 3:13-15
And Moses said unto Elohim, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The Elohim of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is His Name? what shall I say unto them? And Elohim said unto Moses, I AM that I AM: and He said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. And Elohim said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, YHWH Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Isaac, and the Elohim of Ya'acob, hath sent me unto you: this is My name for ever, and this is My memorial unto all generations.
Exodus 20:8-11
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it separate. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of YHWH thy Elohim: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days YHWH made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore YHWH blessed the Sabbath day, and separated it.
YAHUSHA
IS
YHWH
As mentioned previously in Chapter 5, YAHUSHA clearly identified Himself as the "I AM", who revealed His Name as being YHWH in Exodus 3:13-15.
John 8:56-58
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? YAHUSHA said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I AM.
Furthermore,it is a given that from the Torah that our Creator's Name is YHWH . The Gospel of John clearly indicates that YAHUSHA is the Creator Himself, this by itself should clearly indicate that YAHUSHA is the physical manifestation or embodiment of YHWH in this world.
John 1:1-11
In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with Elohim, and the WORD was Elohim. The same was in the beginning with Elohim. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not....
He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. He came unto his own, and His own received Him not.
Are there any other passages in the Hebrew Scriptures that indicate that YAHUSHA the Messiah would literally be YHWH in the flesh?
John 1:19-23
And this is the record of John (the Baptist), when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou? And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Messiah. And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No. Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself? He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Isaiah.
In this passage from the Gospel of John, the scribes & Pharisees were questioning John the Baptist as to who he was. In the KJV, John the Baptist responded that he was the "voice of one crying in the wilderness Make straight the way of the Lord", & referred them to the prophet Isaiah. John the Baptist indicated that he was the one sent to prepare the way of the Messiah who was to come shortly afterwards.
Isaiah 40:3-11
The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of YHWH,
make straight in the desert a highway for our Elohim. Every valley shall be exalted,and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: And the Majesty of YHWH shall be revealed,and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of YHWH hath spoken it.
The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the Spirit of YHWH bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the WORD of our Elohim shall stand for ever.
O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Yahudah, Behold your Elohim! Behold, Adonai YHWH will come with Strong HAND, and His ARM shall rule for him: behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him. He shall feed his flock like a Shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.
The translators of the KJV version of the Gospel of John obscured the identity of the Messiah as "the Lord" in John1:23. Thankfully, the prophet Isaiah clearly reveals to us that John the Baptist was the voice of one crying in the wilderness, "Prepare ye the way of YHWH". This clearly indicates that John the Baptist was preparing the way of YHWH, who came in the flesh as YAHUSHA the Messiah. The prophet Isaiah continues to refer to YAHUSHA throughout the passage as the WORD of YHWH or Elohim, & as the Strong HAND or Mighty ARM of YHWH who would feed His flock like a Shepherd; gathering the lambs with His arm, & carrying them in His bosom.
Are there any other passages indicating that the Messiah would literally be YHWH in the flesh?
Isaiah 9:6-7
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God,
The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon His Kingdom,
to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even
for ever.
The zeal of YHWH Tzb'ot will perform this.
Even in the famous & iconic passage of Isaiah 9:6-7, YAHUSHA the Messiah is referred to as the Mighty God & the Everlasting Father!
Isaiah 63:16
Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not:
thou, O YHWH, art our Father, our Redeemer;
Thy Name is from Everlasting.
It is a given that YHWH is the Everlasting Father, yet so also is YAHUSHA!
John 14:1-11
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? YAHUSHA saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me. If ye had known Me, ye should have known My Father also: and from henceforth ye know Him, and have seen Him.
Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
YAHUSHA saith unto him,
Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip?
he that hath seen Me hath seen the Father;
and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of Myself: but the Father that dwelleth in Me, he doeth the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me: or else believe Me for the very works' sake.
YAHUSHA clearly taught His disciples that those who saw YAHUSHA had seen the Father, YHWH!
Micah 5:1-2
...they shall smite the JUDGE of Israel with a rod upon the cheek.
But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Yahudah,
yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel;
whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
The latter half of Micah 5:1 refers to the Judge of Israel being struck on the cheek with a rod. Could that be a reference to the suffering our Loving Saviour would endure on our behalf? It certainly appears that way. Micah 5:2 definitely indicates that the Messiah who is to rule over Israel has been existing & going forth from everlasting. That clearly could not be referring to any ordinary human being. The Scriptures repeatedly refer to human beings as being like grass, here one day & gone the next.
Perhaps the most explicit revelations of YAHUSHA the Messiah as being YHWH in the flesh comes from the prophets Jeremiah & Isaiah....
Jeremiah 23:5-6
Behold, the days come, saith YHWH, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute Judgment and Justice in the earth. In his days Yahudah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is His Name whereby he shall be called, YHWH our Righteousness.
Isaiah 44:6
Thus saith YHWH the King of Israel, and his redeemer
YHWH Tzb'ot;
I am the FIRST, and I am the LAST;
and beside me there is no Elohim.
In the verse from Jeremiah 23:5-6, YHWH our Creator is saying that He is going to raise up a King from the seed of David who would rule over the world in perfect justice & equity. YHWH our Creator tells us that the Name of this King from the seed of David who is going to rule over the whole world is YHWH Tzidkenu, or YHWH our righteousness. YAHUSHA is the King from the seed of David who will rule with perfect Justice & Judgment over the whole world. The whole world will know YAHUSHA at that time as YHWH our Righteousness.
In Isaiah 44:6, it clearly appears that YAHUSHA & YHWH are speaking in unison as One & the Same. YHWH Melek Israel, whom we know to be YHWH Tzidkenu, YHWH our Righteousness, is YAHUSHA, the Promised King from the House of David who would physically rule over the whole world in perfect Judgment & Justice. YHWH Tzb'ot is our Heavenly Father, YHWH of Hosts. YHWH Melek Israel & YHWH Tzb'ot tell us together that He is the FIRST & the LAST, & there is no Elohim beside Him!
YHWH
IS
YAHUSHA
Although disputed by some, there are various sources that indicate that the paleoHebraic form of YHWH is very meaningful in itself.(1-3) Our Heavenly Father's Name as spelled out in the English representation of Hebrew letters is Yud - Heh - Waw - Heh. In the PaleoHebraic Script, the Yud represented "Hand", the Heh represented "Behold or Reveal", & the Waw represented a "Nail". So the meaning of our Heavenly Father's Name in the PaleoHebraic Script is said to literally be, "Hand Behold Nail Behold". Or in our modern vernacular, "Behold the Hand, Behold the Nail"!(1-3) This seems to be clearly echoed in John 20:26-29...
John 20:26-29
And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came YAHUSHA, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. Then saith He to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my GOD. YAHUSHA saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen Me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
So even our Heavenly Father's Kadosh Name, YHWH, seems to indicate that He is YAHUSHA! The following verse seems to clearly support that notion...
Zechariah 12:10
And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of Kindness and of Supplications:
and they shall look upon Me whom they have pierced,
and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourneth for his only Son,
and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
Here YHWH is telling the prophet Zechariah that in the last days, the house of David & the inhabitants of Jerusalem will look upon YHWH, whom they had pierced, & they would be in mourning & bitterness for Him, as one would mourn for his firstborn. YHWH was speaking of what was yet to happen to YAHUSHA. YHWH was saying that in the last days the Yahudim would realize that everything they did to YAHUSHA, they had really done to YHWH! This clearly indicates that YHWH is YAHUSHA!
Please consider the following table that attempts to summarize many of the points discussed previously. The table attempts to illustrate that many of the exclusive attributes & characteristics of YHWH our Creator belong simultaneously to YAHUSHA. This clearly indicates that YAHUSHA is YHWH in the flesh.
Table Illustrating that Exclusive Attributes of YHWH belong also to YAHUSHA.
