Was Pharisee Paul Really Blameless in his Keeping of YHWH's Torah?
Paul the pharisee made a number of claims attesting to his perfectly blameless observation of YHWH's Torah as the following verses illustrate...
Phillippians 3:4-6
Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more: Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.
Acts 23:1
And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.
Acts 24:14-16
But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets: And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust. And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.
Acts 25:7-8
And when he was come, the Jews which came down from Jerusalem stood round about, and laid many and grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove. While he answered for himself, Neither against the law of the Jews, neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I offended any thing at all.
Acts 23:1, Acts 24:14-16, & Acts 25:7-8 were all statements given by Paul in three different judicial settings, in which Paul basically claimed complete innocence & blamelessness according to the Torah. These claims are basically three different examples of intentionally false testimony given in judicial proceedings! Since...
Paul was a BLASPHEMER
In Acts 23:1, Paul claims to have lived in good conscience before God to that day. Yet in 1 Timothy 1:12-13, & Acts 26:11 Paul acknowledges having been a blasphemer, & having forced innocent people of faith to blaspheme!(1)
1 Timothy 1:12-13
And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
Acts 26:11
And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.
Blasphemy is a very serious offence. According to Leviticus 24:15-16, the penalty for blasphemy is death.
Leviticus 24:15-16
And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Whosoever curseth his Elohim shall bear his sin. And he that blasphemeth the Name of YHWH, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the Name of YHWH, shall be put to death.
Paul FAILED TO OBSERVE YHWH's FEASTS FOR 17 OF THE NEXT 18 YEARS FOLLOWING HIS CONVERSION
As mentioned previously in chapter 4, Paul claims in Galatians 1:15-18 that after his experience on the road to Damascus that he did not go to Jerusalem for the next three years. If Paul’s account of Galatians 1:15-18 is true, then after his vision from heaven he chose to live in open violation of Deuteronomy 16:16-17 for the next three consecutive years after receiving his vision!
Galatians 1:15-2:1
But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.
Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days. But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother. Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.
Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia; And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ: But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed. And they glorified God in me.
Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also.
Deuteronomy 16:16-17
Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before YHWH thy Elohim in the place which He shall choose; in the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and in the Feast of Weeks, and in the Feast of Tabernacles: and they shall not appear before YHWH empty: Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of YHWH thy Elohim which He hath given thee.
This means that Paul the pharisee was essentially living as a nonobservant Jew for the first three years following his vision on the road to Damascus! In Phillippians 3:4-6, Paul makes the outrageous claim that he is blameless according to the righteousness which is in the Torah! He made that claim after failing to keep Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread, Shavuot/Pentecost, & Feast of Tabernacles for at least the first three consecutive years following his vision on the road to Damascus!
Then after a 15 day visit to Jerusalem, Paul failed to keep YHWH’s feasts of Passover/Feast of Unleavened Bread, Pentecost, & Feast of Tabernacles for the next fourteen years straight! This is all according to Paul’s own chronology of Galatians 1:15-2:1. Failing to keep YHWH’s feasts for at least 17 out of 18 years would basically make Paul the pharisee a nonobservant or apostate Jew. This may explain Paul's repeated denigration of & derogatory attacks on the Torah or Commandments of YHWH our Creator. Nevertheless, Paul the pharisee subsequently brazenly proclaimed his blamelessness according to the Torah in three different judicial settings & one letter to a gentile congregation as documented in Acts 23:1, Acts 24:14-16, & Acts 25:7-8, & Phillippians 3:4-6 . Each claim that Paul the pharisee made of blameless & conscientious Torah observance is therefore knowingly & intentionally false according to Gal 1:15-2:1 & Deut 16:16-17!
Paul was a FALSE WITNESS/FALSE PROPHET
The previous chapter dealt with the question of why Paul was seized by the men of Israel in Acts chapter 21. When the Jews of Asia saw Paul in the temple, they seized him, & laid their accusations against him...
Acts 21:28
Crying out, Men of Israel, help: This is the man, that teacheth all men every where against the people, and the Law, and this place: and further brought Greeks also into the temple, and hath polluted this holy place.
While their accusations are manifold, one of the primary accusations against Paul was that he was teaching all men everywhere against the Law, or the Torah of our Heavenly Father! In fact this accusation against Paul of Acts 21:28 is clearly correct.
The majority of denominations & congregations in Christianity do not even attempt to keep YHWH’s Sabbaths or YHWH’s dietary instructions of Leviticus 11 because of verses from Paul such as Romans 3:28, Romans 6:14, Romans 7:6, 2 Corinthians 3:6-11, Galatians 3:23-25, & Galatians 5:18, etc. In these verses, Paul repeatedly claims that we are “not under the law”, or some variation thereof.
Romans 3:28
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the Law.
Romans 6:14
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the Law, but under grace.
Romans 7:6
But now we are delivered from the Law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
2 Corinthians 3:6-11
Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth. For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.
Galatians 3:23-25
But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the Law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
Galatians 5:18
But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the Law.
1 Corinthians 6:12
All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
1 Corinthians 10:23
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
Paul also claims four times in 1 Corinthians 6:12 & 1 Corinthians 10:23 that all things are lawful for him. Such claims are basically attacks against our Heavenly Father’s Law or Torah, since our Heavenly Father clearly indicates that all things are not lawful, such as buying & selling on the Sabbath. Paul repeatedly wrote against keeping YHWH’s Torah, & that automatically puts him in violation of Deuteronomy 13:5, which carries a death penalty!
Deuteronomy 13:1-5
If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for YHWH your Elohim proveth you, to know whether ye love YHWH your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul. Ye shall walk after YHWH your Elohim, and fear him, and keep His commandments, and obey His voice, and ye shall serve Him, and cleave unto Him. And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from YHWH your Elohim, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which YHWH thy Elohim commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.
When Paul gave his defense before the judicial council in Acts 23, he noticed that part of their council consisted of pharisees & the other part were sadducees. These two factions apparently disagreed on whether or not there is a physical resurrection.
Acts 23:6-8
But when Paul perceived that the one part were sadducees, and the other pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a pharisee, the son of a pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question. And when he had so said, there arose a dissension between the pharisees and the padducees: and the multitude was divided. For the sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit:but the pharisees confess both.
Acts 21:27-28
27And when the seven days were almost ended, the Jews which were of Asia, when they saw him in the temple, stirred up all the people, and laid hands on him, 28Crying out, Men of Israel, help: This is the man, that teacheth all men every where against the people, and the LAW(Nomos), and this place: and further brought Greeks also into the temple, and hath polluted this holy place.
So Paul claimed that he was being accused because of his belief in the resurrection, when it is extremely clear from Acts 21:28 that one of the main charges against him was that Paul was teaching all men everywhere against the Law, or YHWH’s Torah. The men of Israel who seized Paul made no reference to Paul’s belief in the resurrection.
Acts 23:6-8 thus clearly again documents that Paul gave false witness to save himself before a judicial council, which is also an obvious violation of the Scriptures, as indicated by Exodus 23:1, Leviticus19:11, Proverbs 6:16-19, Proverbs 19:5, & Proverbs 19:9. Similarly, Paul made other intentionally false claims regarding his blameless keeping of Torah before multiple judicial councils in Acts 23:1, Acts 24:14-16, & Acts 25:7-8(see below).
Exodus 23:1
Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.
Leviticus 19:11
Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.
Proverbs 6:16-19
These six things doth YHWH hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies,
and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Proverbs 19:5
A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape.
Proverbs 19:9
A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish.
Paul LIED ABOUT & DISREGARDED THE VERDICT OF THE ACTS 15 JERUSALEM COUNCIL
As mentioned previously (in Chapter 10 of this booklet), Galatians Chapter 2 & Acts Chapter 15 describe the same sequence of events, the Acts15Galatians2 Sequence. Galatians chapter 2 & Acts chapter 15 both describe the same initial conflict, the same sequence of events for the most part, & both chapters end the sequence with the major dispute that occurred between Paul & Barnabas. That dispute only occurred once, & they never worked together again.
Acts15Galatians2 Sequence
-
Men from Judea came to Antioch preaching that gentiles must be circumcised to be saved- Acts 15:1 & Galatians 2:4. (Both chapters describe same initial conflict)
-
This produced disagreement & confusion in the congregation of Antioch- Acts 15:2 & implied in Galatians 2 account.
-
Barnabas & Paul disagree with men from Judea’s assertion that gentiles must be circumcised to be saved-Acts 15:2 Galatians 2:5.
-
Barnabas & Paul sent to question Apostles & Elders in Jerusalem about this matter- Acts 15:2 & Galatians 2:1-4.
-
James, the Apostles, & Elders give audience to Barnabas & Paul, hearing their question- Acts 15:4 & Galatians 2:6-9.(This is the Jerusalem Council of Acts 15.)
-
James, the Apostles, & Elders discuss the question of whether gentiles should be circumcised to be saved- Acts 15:5-12 & implied in Galatians account.
-
James announces their decision on the matter: Acts 15:13-21 & Galatians 2:10. (According to James in Acts 15: avoid idolatry, sexual immorality, things strangled, & blood; according to Paul in Galatians 2:10: “remember the poor”.)
-
James, the Apostles, & Elders send Judas & Silas back to Antioch with Barnabas & Paul to convey the decision- Acts 15:22-30 & Galatians 2:12 . (Judas & Silas sent to Antioch with Barnabas & Paul; no mention of Peter going to Antioch at that time according to the Acts account.)
-
Decision on the matter conveyed to the congregation in Antioch- Acts 15:31-33, not mentioned specifically in Galatians account.
-
Barnabas & Paul have a major disagreement, which caused them to separate- Acts 15:36-40 & Galatians 2:13. (This major disagreement between Barnabas & Paul occurred only once, & they never worked together again. Both Acts 15 & Galatians 2 mention same initial conflict, relatively the same sequence (except Paul’s account becomes fictional & self serving), & the same final disagreement between Barnabas & Paul. This clearly indicates that both chapters were discussing the same sequence of events.
The question of whether new gentile believers must be circumcised is relevant for all believers in the Messiah. The Apostles & elders in Jerusalem decided that gentile believers must abstain from sexual immorality, from blood, from things strangled, & from idolatry (Acts 15:13-22). Yet in Galatians 2:9-10, Paul claims that the only thing that the elders in Jerusalem requested of gentile believers was that they be mindful of the poor! Luke does mention in Acts 16:4 that Paul & Timothy conveyed this information as they went through various cities.
Acts 15:13-22
And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me: Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things. Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath day. Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:
Galatians 2:9-10
And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision. Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.
However, the decision of the Jerusalem Council, that Gentiles should abstain from sexual immorality, idolatry, things strangled, & blood, is glaringly absent from all of Paul’s letters to Gentile congregations contained in the New Testament! In fact, Paul goes as far as misrepresenting to the Galatians (in Galatians 2:9-10) the decision of the Jerusalem Council. The problem with this is clear from Deuteronomy 17:8-13. Galatians 2:9-10 is a clear violation of Deuteronomy 17:8-13, which also carries a penalty of death.
Deuteronomy 17:8-13
If there arise a matter too hard for thee in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke, being matters of controversy within thy gates: then shalt thou arise, and get thee up into the place which YHWH thy Elohim shall choose;
And thou shalt come unto the priests the Levites, and unto the judge that shall be in those days, and enquire; and they shall shew thee the sentence of judgment: And thou shalt do according to the sentence, which they of that place which YHWH shall choose shall shew thee; and thou shalt observe to do according to all that they inform thee: According to the sentence of the law which they shall teach thee, and according to the judgment which they shall tell thee, thou shalt do: thou shalt not decline from the sentence which they shall shew thee, to the right hand, nor to the left.
And the man that will do presumptuously, and will not hearken unto the priest that standeth to minister there before YHWH thy Elohim, or unto the judge, even that man shall die: and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel. And all the people shall hear, and fear, and do no more presumptuously.
Paul was a FALSE WITNESS/BACKSTABBER
In addition, a comparison of Acts chapter 15 with Galatians chapter 2 reveals that Paul the pharisee was backstabbing the Apostle Peter, as outlined previously on this site. In Galatians Chapter 2, Paul claims that Peter arrived in Antioch before Judas & Silas. Paul claims that after Peter arrived, he behaved hypocritically in that he was eating with gentiles before the elders came from James in Jerusalem, but he withdrew from the gentiles after the elders from Jerusalem (Judas & Silas) arrived in Antioch. Paul also claims that he openly rebuked & reprimanded Peter because of this.
All of the claims Paul makes in Gal 2:10-14 are clearly false according to Acts 15. The Apostles & elders in Jerusalem made no mention of the poor, as it was irrelevant to the question of whether gentile believers in YAHUSHA should be circumcised. Instead, they decided that gentiles should abstain from sexual immorality, idolatry, things strangled, & blood as they learned more of the Torah on the Sabbath.
According to Acts 15, Peter was one of the Apostles & elders that heard the question from the congregation of Antioch. In other words, Peter was on the Jerusalem Council of Acts 15. The Jerusalem Council sent a letter with Judas, Silas, Paul, & Barnabas back to the congregation in Antioch. Judas & Silas were the elders sent from the Jerusalem Council, whom Paul refers to in Gal 2:10-14. Acts 15 is clear that there is simply no way Peter went to Antioch before Judas, Silas, Paul, & Barnabas!
Furthermore, Peter had already been accused of eating with gentiles way back in Acts 11. Acts 11:1-18 clearly documents that Peter had already clearly explained to those of the circumcision in the Jerusalem congregation that gentiles had been given the Holy Spirit, were no longer to be considered unclean, & there was nothing wrong in eating with gentiles! Hence, pharisee Paul’s claim of Peter’s allegedly hypocritical behavior falls apart from every persective, & is clearly false. Similarly, Paul’s open rebuke of the Apostle Peter never happened, as there is no objective record of Peter being in Antioch at that time. Nor is Paul’s account of his alleged scolding of Peter corroborated by any other New Testament Scriptures.
Galatians 2:10-14 documents Paul making a number of false claims, as well as bearing false witness against the Apostle Peter. This is a clear violation of the Torah’s prohibition against bearing false witness as found in Exodus 20:16, Deuteronomy 5:20, & Leviticus 19:11.
Exodus 20:16
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
Deuteronomy 5:20
Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbour.
Leviticus 19:11
Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.
Paul violated TORAH PROHIBITION ON RETURNING RUNAWAY SLAVE
Philemon 1:10-19
I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds: Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me. Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels: Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel: But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly. For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever; Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord? If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself. If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account; I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides.
Deuteronomy 23:15-16
Thou shalt not deliver unto his master the servant which is escaped from his master unto thee: He shall dwell with thee, even among you, in that place which he shall choose in one of thy gates, where it liketh him best: thou shalt not oppress him.
In addition, it is seen from Philemon 1:10-19 that Paul returned a runaway slave, Onesimus, back to his master, Philemon. This is a clear violation of Deuteronomy 23:15-16. It is also ironic because in the following multiple verses, Gal 2:4, Gal 4:24-25, & Gal 5:1-3, Paul implies that obedience to the instructions of our Heavenly Father is similar to being under a yoke of bondage. Paul the pharisee also implies in 1 Co 8:7-10, Gal 2:4, & Gal 5:1-3 that avoiding the Torah & Torah practices is like being granted liberty from that bondage. Yet our Heavenly Father’s Torah clearly grants liberty & freedom to the runaway slave. Nevertheless, Paul preferred to return Onesimus back into the literal bondage of slavery in violation of what the Torah specifically instructs.
Galatians 2:4
And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:
Galatians 4:24-25
Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.
Galatians 5:13
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
1 Corinthians 8:7-10
Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled. But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse. But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak. For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;
PAUL MADE A PUBLIC VOW TO THE SAVIOR WHICH HE FAILED TO KEEP
As documented in the section on YAHUSHA, it is clear that YAHUSHA the Messiah is literally YHWH, our Creator, in the flesh. YAHUSHA is the physical embodiment & manifestation of YHWH in the flesh. This can be seen clearly in the following verses...
John 1:1-14
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim. The same was in the beginning with Elohim. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made....He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.
Isaiah 44:24
Thus saith YHWH, thy redeemer,and He that formed thee from the womb, I am YHWH that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by Myself;
Isaiah 42:8
I am YHWH: that is My Name: and My honour will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
Isaiah 40:28
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting Elohim, YHWH, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary?
there is no searching of His understanding.
Isaiah 43:11-12
I, even I, am YHWH; and beside Me there is no Saviour. I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith YHWH, that I am El
Luke 2:10-12
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Messiah the Lord.
The verses above clearly establish that YAHUSHA is the physical manifestation of YHWH, or YHWH in the flesh. This has to be the case since YHWH clearly states that He ALONE created the heavens & the earth. Similarly, YHWH emphatically states that He ALONE is the Saviour, & there is no other saviour beside Him!
The Gospels clearly identify YAHUSHA the Messiah as being the Creator & Saviour, attributes which YHWH has said belong to Him ALONE. Consequently, it follows that YAHUSHA is YHWH in the flesh. This is also undeniably clear from the following two passages...
John 8:54-58
YAHUSHA answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your Elohim: Yet ye have not known Him; but I know Him: and if I should say, I know Him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know Him, and keep His saying. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Yahudim unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Yahusha said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I AM.
Exodus 3:13-16
And Moses said unto Elohim, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The Elohim of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is His name? what shall I say unto them? And Elohim said unto Moses, I AM that I AM: and He said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. And Elohim said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, YHWH Elohim of your fathers, Elohim of Abraham, Elohim of Isaac, and Elohim of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is My name for ever, and this is My memorial unto all generations. Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, YHWH Elohim of your fathers, Elohim of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt:
Acts 21 documents how Paul was repeatedly warned by different individuals through the Holy Spirit that he should not go to Jerusalem. The second time this happened, Paul was told that he would be taken into custody, bound by his hands & feet. On hearing this, Paul publicly proclaimed that he was ready not only to be bound, but "to die at Jerusalem for the Name of Lord Jesus."
However when Paul was given that very opportunity in Acts 25:9-11, instead of agreeing to be judged at Jerusalem (& most likely martyred as he had previously boasted), Paul immediately appealed to Caesar. By appealing to Caesar instead of agreeing to be judged at Jerusalem, he broke the vow he had publicly made that he was ready "to die at Jerusalem for the Name of Lord Jesus."
In 1 Corinthians 6:1-7, Paul rebuked the Corinthians for trying to seek justice in civic/secular courts instead of allowing themselves to be wronged or defrauded. However, when Paul was in danger of being judged at Jerusalem, he immediately appealed to Caesar for justice instead of allowing himself to be wronged or defrauded. This was despite his previous boast of Acts 21:13, in which he publicly vowed that he was ready to "die for the name of Lord Jesus" in Jerusalem.
Going back on his public boast that he was ready to "die for the name of Lord Jesus" in Jerusalem definitely put Paul in violation of Deuteronomy 23:21.
Deuteronomy 23:21
When thou shalt vow a vow unto YHWH thy Elohim, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for YHWH thy Elohim will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee. But if thou shalt forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee. That which is gone out of thy lips thou shalt keep and perform; even a freewill offering, according as thou hast vowed unto YHWH thy Elohim, which thou hast promised with thy mouth.
Acts 21:3-4
Now when we had discovered Cyprus, we left it on the left hand, and sailed into Syria, and landed at Tyre: for there the ship was to unlade her burden. And finding disciples, we tarried there seven days: who said to Paul through the Spirit, that he should not go up to Jerusalem.
Acts 21:10-12
And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus. And when he was come unto us, he took Paul's girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles. And when we heard these things, both we, and they of that place, besought him not to go up to Jerusalem.
Acts 21:13
Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.
{Acts 25: 9-11
But Festus, willing to do the Jews a pleasure, answered Paul, and said, Wilt thou go up to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these things before me? Then said Paul, I stand at Caesar's judgment seat, where I ought to be judged: to the Jews have I done no wrong, as thou very well knowest. For if I be an offender, or have committed any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die: but if there be none of these things whereof these accuse me, no man may deliver me unto them. I appeal unto Caesar.
1 Corinthians 6:1-7
Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren? But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.
Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?}
Paul claims in Phillippians 3:6 that he was blameless according to the righteousness of the law. In three different judicial proceedings, Paul claimed to be basically blameless in his keeping of YHWH’s Torah. These are all examples of Paul giving intentionally false testimony in judicial proceedings & in one of his N.T. letters to a gentile congregation. In Acts 25:8, Paul basically claims to have not violated the Law or Torah of the Jews at all. Similarly in Acts 23:1 & Acts 24:14-16 Paul claims to have lived in good conscience before God all his life. This is another way of saying that he was relatively blameless in his keeping of YHWH’s Torah.
This chapter has demonstrated that Paul’s multiple claims of keeping the Torah blamelessly are intentionally & absolutely false, as the Scriptures indicate that Paul was guilty of a number of major violations of the Torah. In fact other than YAHUSHA, most of us are all guilty of countless major violations of our Heavenly Father’s Torah. The difference between the majority of us & Paul is that most of us are not repeatedly giving false testimony in different judicial proceedings about our blameless keeping of our Heavenly Father’s Torah! Also most of us are not writing letters to various congregations boasting falsely of our blameless keeping of YHWH’s Torah!
Aren’t Phillippians 3:4-6, Acts 23:1, Acts 24:14-16, & Acts 25:7-8 perfect examples of the dishonesty & the lies Paul the pharisee repeatedly admitted to in Romans 3:7 & 2 Co 12:16? It is clear that Paul the pharisee was a repeat offender in terms of violating our Heavenly Father’s Torah. How then could he be ascribed with the authority to do away with our Heavenly Father’s Torah? As a documented intentionally & repeatedly false witness in the multiple judicial proceedings listed above, why should anyone believe anything that Paul the pharisee wrote in any of his letters?

Acts 15
And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved. When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question. And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren. And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them. But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them.
And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter. And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they. Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren: And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia: Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, to whom we gave no such commandment: It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth. For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well. So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle: Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation. And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them. And after they had tarried there a space, they were let go in peace from the brethren unto the apostles. Notwithstanding it pleased Silas to abide there still. Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching .... and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.
And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do. And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark. But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work. And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus; And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God. And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.
Galatians 2
Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also. And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain. But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised: And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you. But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man's person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me: But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:) And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision. Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do. But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision. And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation. But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews? We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
