YAHUSHA
The ANGEL of YHWH
The Scriptures reveal several examples of the ANGEL of YHWH interacting with human beings. Exodus Chapter 3 is one of the most explicit documentations of YAHUSHA interacting with humans as the "ANGEL of YHWH".
Exodus 3:1-22
Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of Elohim, even to Horeb. And the ANGEL of YHWH appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. And when YHWH saw that he turned aside to see, Elohim called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. And He said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is kadosh ground. Moreover He said, I AM the Elohim of thy father, the Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Isaac, and the Elohim of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon Elohim.
And YHWH said, I have surely seen the affliction of My people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows; And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites. Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto Me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them. Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth My people the children of Israel out of Egypt.
And Moses said unto Elohim, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt? And He said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve Elohim upon this mountain. And Moses said unto Elohim, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The Elohim of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is His Name? what shall I say unto them? And Elohim said unto Moses, I AM that I AM: and
He said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. And Elohim said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, YHWH Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Isaac, and the Elohim of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is My Name for ever, and this is My memorial unto all generations. Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, YHWH Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt: And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, unto a land flowing with milk and honey. And they shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, YHWH Elohim of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we beseech thee, three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to YHWH our Elohim.
And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand. And I will stretch out My Hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go. And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty: But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil the Egyptians.
Just like the WORD of YHWH, this "ANGEL of YHWH" speaks with the authority of YHWH, as YHWH Himself. Chapter 8 of the Gospel of John clearly indicates that YAHUSHA is the "ANGEL of YHWH" who spoke with Moses, & identified Himself as "I AM".
John 8:31-59
Then said YAHUSHA to those Jews which believed on Him, If ye continue in my Word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
They answered Him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? YAHUSHA answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you. I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father. They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. YAHUSHA saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham. But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even Elohim. YAHUSHA said unto them, If Elohim were your Father, ye would love Me: for I proceeded forth and came from Elohim; neither came I of Myself, but He sent Me. Why do ye not understand My speech? even because ye cannot hear My word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe Me not. Which of you convinceth Me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe Me? He that is of Elohim heareth Elohim's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of Elohim. Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil? YAHUSHA answered, I have not a devil; but I honour My Father, and ye do dishonour Me. And I seek not Mine own honour: there is one that seeketh and judgeth. Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep My saying, he shall never see death. Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death. Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself? YAHUSHA answered, If I honour Myself, My honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth Me; of whom ye say, that he is your Elohim: Yet ye have not known Him; but I know Him: and if I should say, I know Him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know Him, and keep His saying. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? YAHUSHA said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I AM. Then took they up stones to cast at him: but YAHUSHA hid Himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
It is seen from the previous passages in the Gospel of John, the Torah, & Prophets that YAHUSHA is the physical manifestation of YHWH in this material world. In John 8:58, YAHUSHA identified Himself as the "I AM" who sent Moses to free the children of Israel from slavery in the land of Egypt. This "I AM" who sent Moses to free the children of Israel also identified Himself as YHWH. Thus when YAHUSHA identified Himself as "I AM" in John chapter 8, the crowd took up stones to stone Him, because they realized He was identifying Himself as YHWH our Creator!
In the following sections it will be demonstrated that certain characteristics & attributes that belong exclusively to YHWH alone belong also to YAHUSHA. This further demonstrates that YAHUSHA is YHWH in the flesh.
