YAHUSHA
the Son of Elohim
In Matthew 16:13-15, YAHUSHA asked His disciples about who they said He was.
Matthew 16:13-15
(13)When YAHUSHA came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? (14)And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. (15)He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
His question remains amazingly & remarkably valid to this very day! Who do we say that He is? Peter answered that He is the Son of the Living Elohim, & YAHUSHA commended him for that.
What specific Scriptural passages indicate that the Messiah would be the Son of the Living Elohim?
1 Chronicles 17:11-15
(11)And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish His kingdom. (12)He shall build Me an house, and I will stablish His throne for ever. (13)I will be his Father, and He shall be my Son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee: (14)But I will settle Him in Mine house and in My Kingdom for ever: and His throne shall be established for evermore. (15)According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.
So in 1 Chronicles 17:11-15, YHWH Himself tells David through the prophet Nathan that one of David's descendants would be the Son of YHWH who would rule over YHWH's Kingdom forever!
Similarly in the book of Luke, the angel Gabriel informed Miriam about the Son she was to have...
Luke 1:30-33 &34
(30)And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with Elohim. (31)And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name YAHUSHA. (32)He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and YHWH Elohim shall give unto him the throne of His father David: (33)And He shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of His Kingdom there shall be no end.
In the book of Matthew the angel also tells Joseph that their Son's Name would be YAHUSHA. Matthew then refers His Name back to the book of Isaiah, as the following passages indicate.
Matthew 1:21-23
(21)And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name YAHUSHA: for He shall save His people from their sins. (22)Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of YHWH by the prophet, saying, (23)Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Isaiah 7:14
Therefore Adonai Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
Matthew 1:21-23 & Isaiah 7:14 seem to indicate that not only would YAHUSHA be the Son of Elohim, but that He would be God or Elohim, Himself. This is even more clearly seen from Isaiah 9:6.
Isaiah 9:6-7
(6)For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (7)Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of YHWH Tzb'ot will perform this.
Isaiah 9:6-7, Isaiah 7:14, & Matthew 1:21-23 all clearly seem to indicate that not only would YAHUSHA be the Son of Elohim, but that YAHUSHA is the Everlasting Father, the Mighty God, & Elohim Himself! Are there any other verses that support this?
