YAHUSHA
The WORD of YHWH
More than any other books of the New Testament, the Gospels tell us so much about our Savior, YAHUSHA. The Gospel of John in particular gives us several clues as to who YAHUSHA is. The introduction of John's Gospel is probably one of the most memorable & iconic passages of Scripture in the New Testament...
John 1:1-3, 14
1In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with Elohim, and the WORD was Elohim. 2The same was in the beginning with Elohim. 3All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.... 14And the WORD was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His honour, the honour as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of Kindness and Truth.
So the Gospel of John tells us that YAHUSHA is the "WORD" who made or created everything! What else do the Scriptures have to say about the "WORD" & Creation?
Psalm 33:6
By the WORD of YHWH were the heavens made;
and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.
The Gospel of John basically identifies YAHUSHA the Messiah as the "WORD of YHWH" who created the Heavens & the Earth. What else do the Scriptures have to say about the "WORD of YHWH"?
Genesis 15:1-4
1After these things the WORD of YHWH came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. 2And Abram said, Adonai YHWH, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus? 3And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir. 4And, behold, the WORD of YHWH came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.
Numbers 3:16
And Moses numbered them according to the WORD of YHWH, as he was commanded.
Numbers 3:51
And Moses gave the money of them that were redeemed unto Aaron and to his sons, according to the WORD of YHWH, as YHWH commanded Moses.
Numbers 15:30-31
30But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth YHWH; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people. 31Because he hath despised the WORD of YHWH, and hath broken His Commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.
Deuteronomy 34:5-6
5So Moses the servant of YHWH died there in the land of Moab, according to the WORD of YHWH. 6And He buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.

1 Samuel 15:22-23
22And Samuel said, Hath YHWH as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of YHWH?
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. 23For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the WORD of YHWH, He hath also rejected thee from being king.
1 Samuel 15:26
And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for thou hast rejected the WORD of YHWH, and YHWH hath rejected thee from being king over Israel.
2 Samuel 7:4-16
4And it came to pass that night, that the WORD of YHWH came unto Nathan, saying, 5Go and tell My servant David, Thus saith YHWH, Shalt thou build Me an house for Me to dwell in? 6Whereas I have not dwelt in any house since the time that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle. 7In all the places wherein I have walked with all the children of Israel spake I a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed My people Israel, saying, Why build ye not Me an house of cedar? 8Now therefore so shalt thou say unto My servant David, Thus saith YHWH Tzb'ot, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over My people, over Israel: 9And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth. 10Moreover I will appoint a place for My people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime, 11And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over My people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies. Also YHWH telleth thee that He will make thee an house.
12And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish His kingdom. 13He shall build an house for My name, and I will stablish the throne of His Kingdom for ever. 14I will be His father, and He shall be my Son. If He commit iniquity, I will chasten Him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men: 15But My mercy shall not depart away from Him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee. 16And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.
2 Samuel 24:11-12
11For when David was up in the morning, the WORD of YHWH came unto the prophet Gad, David's seer, saying, 12Go and say unto David, Thus saith YHWH, I offer thee three things; choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee.

11And the WORD of YHWH came to Solomon, saying, 12Concerning this house which thou art in building, if thou wilt walk in My Statutes, and execute My Judgments, and keep all My Commandments to walk in them; then will I perform My Word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father: 13And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.
1 Kings 12:22-24
22But the WORD of Elohim came unto Shemaiah the man of Elohim, saying, 23Speak unto Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, king of Yahudah, and unto all the house of Yahudah and Benjamin, and to the remnant of the people, saying, 24Thus saith YHWH, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel: return every man to his house; for this thing is from Me. They hearkened therefore to the WORD of YHWH, and returned to depart, according to the WORD of YHWH
1 Kings 13:1-32
And, behold, there came a man of Elohim out of Yahudah by the WORD of YHWH unto Bethel: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense. And he cried against the altar in the WORD of YHWH, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith YHWH; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee. And he gave a sign the same day, saying, This is the sign which YHWH hath spoken; Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out. And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of Elohim, which had cried against the altar in Bethel, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him. The altar also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of Eohim had given by the WORD of YHWH. And the king answered and said unto the man of Elohim, Intreat now the face of YHWH thy Elohim, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again. And the man of Elohim besought YHWH, and the king's hand was restored him again, and became as it was before. And the king said unto the man of Elohim, Come home with me, and refresh thyself, and I will give thee a reward. And the man of Elohim said unto the king, If thou wilt give me half thine house, I will not go in with thee, neither will I eat bread nor drink water in this place: For so was it charged me by the WORD of YHWH, saying, Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou camest. So he went another way, and returned not by the way that he came to Bethel.
Now there dwelt an old prophet in Bethel; and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of Elohim had done that day in Bethel: the words which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father. And their father said unto them, What way went he? For his sons had seen what way the man of Elohim went, which came from Yahudah. And he said unto his sons, Saddle me the ass. So they saddled him the ass: and he rode thereon, And went after the man of Elohim, and found him sitting under an oak: and he said unto him, Art thou the man of Elohim that camest from Yahudah? And he said, I am. Then he said unto him, Come home with me, and eat bread. And he said, I may not return with thee, nor go in with thee: neither will I eat bread nor drink water with thee in this place: For it was said to me by the WORD of YHWH, Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that thou camest. He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the WORD of YHWH, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him. So he went back with him, and did eat bread in his house, and drank water.
And it came to pass, as they sat at the table, that the WORD of YHWH came unto the prophet that brought him back: And he cried unto the man of Elohim that came from Yahudah, saying, Thus saith YHWH, Forasmuch as thou hast disobeyed the mouth of YHWH, and hast not kept the commandment which YHWH thy Elohim commanded thee, But camest back, and hast eaten bread and drunk water in the place, of the which YHWH did say to thee, Eat no bread, and drink no water; thy carcase shall not come unto the sepulchre of thy fathers.
And it came to pass, after he had eaten bread, and after he had drunk, that he saddled for him the ass, to wit, for the prophet whom he had brought back. And when he was gone, a lion met him by the way, and slew him: and his carcase was cast in the way, and the ass stood by it, the lion also stood by the carcase. And, behold, men passed by, and saw the carcase cast in the way, and the lion standing by the carcase: and they came and told it in the city where the old prophet dwelt. And when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard thereof, he said, It is the man of ELohim, who was disobedient unto the WORD of YHWH: therefore YHWH hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn him, and slain him, according to the WORD of YHWH, which He spake unto him. And he spake to his sons, saying, Saddle me the ass. And they saddled him. And he went and found his carcase cast in the way, and the ass and the lion standing by the carcase: the lion had not eaten the carcase, nor torn the ass. And the prophet took up the carcase of the man of Elohim, and laid it upon the ass, and brought it back: and the old prophet came to the city, to mourn and to bury him. And he laid his carcase in his own grave; and they mourned over him, saying, Alas, my brother! And it came to pass, after he had buried him, that he spake to his sons, saying, When I am dead, then bury me in the sepulchre wherein the man of Elohim is buried; lay my bones beside his bones: For the saying which he cried by the WORD of YHWH against the altar in Bethel, and against all the houses of the high places which are in the cities of Samaria, shall surely come to pass.
1 Kings 16:1-4
Then the WORD of YHWH came to Yahu the son of Hanani against Baasha, saying, Forasmuch as I exalted thee out of the dust, and made thee prince over My people Israel; and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and hast made My people Israel to sin, to provoke Me to anger with their sins; Behold, I will take away the posterity of Baasha, and the posterity of his house; and will make thy house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat. Him that dieth of Baasha in the city shall the dogs eat; and him that dieth of his in the fields shall the fowls of the air eat.

And EliYah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As Adonai YHWH of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word. And the WORD of YHWH came unto him, saying, Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there. So he went and did according unto the WORD of YHWH: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook. And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.
And the WORD of YHWH came unto him, saying, Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee. So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink. And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand. And she said, As YHWH thy Elohim liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die. And EliYah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. For thus saith YHWH Elohim of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that YHWH sendeth rain upon the earth. And she went and did according to the saying of EliYah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days. And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the WORD of YHWH, which He spake by EliYah.
1 Kings 17:21-24
And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto YHWH, and said, O YHWH my Elohim, I pray thee, let this child's soul come into him again. And YHWH heard the voice of EliYah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived. And EliYah took the child, and brought him down out of the chamber into the house, and delivered him unto his mother: and EliYah said, See, thy son liveth.

Then said he unto him, Because thou hast not obeyed the VOICE of YHWH, behold, as soon as thou art departed from me, a lion shall slay thee. And as soon as he was departed from him, a lion found him, and slew him.
1 Kings 21:17-19
And the WORD of YHWH came to ElijYah the Tishbite, saying, Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, which is in Samaria: behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, whither he is gone down to possess it. And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith YHWH, In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick thy blood, even thine.

And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria: and I will defend this city. And this shall be a sign unto thee from YHWH, that YHWH will do this thing that he hath spoken; Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.
Jeremiah 1:4-19
Then the WORD of YHWH came unto me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Then said I, Ah, Adonai YHWH! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.
But YHWH said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith YHWH. Then YHWH put forth His hand, and touched my mouth. And YHWH said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.
Moreover the WORD of YHWH came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said YHWH unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten My WORD to perform it. And the WORD of YHWH came unto me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And I said, I see a seething pot; and the face thereof is toward the north. Then YHWH said unto me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land. For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith YHWH; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah. And I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, who have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.
Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at their faces, lest I confound thee before them. For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land. And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith YHWH, to deliver thee.
The passages above are only a sampling of the Scriptural verses which mention the "WORD of YHWH". Even from this small sample of verses, it can be seen that the "WORD of YHWH" speaks with the authority of YHWH, & is synonymous with YHWH. The Gospels, the Torah, & the Prophets together all indicate that YAHUSHA the Messiah is the "WORD of YHWH" who is synonymous with, or the same as YHWH.
